Therapy in Los Angeles, CA
Usually video, because a 50-minute session should not cost you three hours. In person in Pasadena when you want the room.

Let us talk about the 110 for a second.
Los Angeles is not a neighborhood, it is a region with a traffic problem, and any therapist who writes about it as though it has one shared character is selling something. What people from Silver Lake, Culver City, Koreatown and the Valley have in common is not culture. It is the math.
A therapy hour that requires forty minutes each way at five in the evening is not a therapy hour. It is most of an evening, and it is the single most common reason people quit good treatment. So for Los Angeles I lead with video, and I mean that as the serious option rather than the consolation one.
There is exactly one office, at 65 N Raymond Ave in Pasadena. No second location, no satellite suite on the Westside. If the drive is worth it to you on a given week, the room is there.
Why Video Wins Here
Consistency beats atmosphere.
The thing that makes therapy work is showing up repeatedly over time. Not candles, not a nice couch. Video removes the variable most likely to end that, and it lets us keep going through a move, a broken car, a bad flu week, or a stretch where leaving the house feels like too much.
EMDR translates to video better than most people expect. Bilateral stimulation works on screen, through headphones, or with tapping you control yourself.
What Comes Up
The particular LA version.
People who moved here alone and never quite built the thing they moved for. People rebuilding a sense of reality after a relationship that spent years editing it. Women who got the ADHD diagnosis at 38 and are grieving the version of their twenties that could have gone differently.
Adults and teens, LGBTQ+ affirming. I do not treat severe mental illness or psychotic disorders.
Anywhere in the State
Licensed in California, and only California.
You need to be physically in California during session. Beyond that, Echo Park and Eureka are the same appointment to me. Sessions are $225 for 50 minutes, intensives are $2,300, superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement, and the first step is a free 10-minute call.
More on the format is at Online Therapy. In a crisis, call or text 988, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
