Privacy Policy

This policy describes how information submitted through this website is handled. Clinical records for people who become clients are governed separately by California and federal law, and by the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive in your intake paperwork. That notice is available on request.

If you use the contact form, I receive what you type into it: your name, your email address, your phone number if you provide one, and your message. Nothing else on this site asks you for personal information.

Basic technical data such as page requests and general location may be logged by the hosting provider for security and performance purposes. That data is not used to identify you.

Contact form submissions are used to reply to you and to arrange a consultation. That is the entire purpose. I do not sell information, rent it, trade it, or add you to a mailing list because you asked a question.

Ordinary email and text messages travel over systems neither of us controls. Please keep anything you send through the contact form brief and non-sensitive. Detailed clinical information belongs in session or on a secure platform, not in an inbox.

This site is hosted by a third-party provider, and contact form submissions pass through a form delivery service in order to reach my inbox. These providers process the information solely to deliver the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Inquiries from people who do not become clients are kept only as long as needed to respond, and then deleted. Clinical records for clients are retained for the period required by California law and professional standards.

Therapy is confidential. California law defines narrow exceptions, including suspected abuse of a child, dependent adult or elder, a serious threat of harm to yourself or another identifiable person, and certain court orders. These limits are reviewed with you at the start of treatment, before they could ever matter.

You can ask what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for an inquiry to be deleted. Send that request through the contact page and I will handle it.

This website is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. Therapy with teens involves a parent or guardian in the intake process.
