The Commitment
Access is part of the care.
Therapy is hard enough to start without a website that fights you. I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA, and I treat gaps as bugs to fix rather than as a disclaimer to publish.
Some of this site relies on third-party tools I do not control end to end. If one of them breaks something for you, I still want to know, because there is usually another way to get you what you needed.
On This Website
What Is In Place
- Text and background colors are checked against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast levels.
- Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content.
- Headings are structured in order, so screen readers can move through a page by section.
- Images that carry meaning have real alternative text, and decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology.
- Motion respects your system setting. Turn on reduced motion and the animations stop.
- The site is readable with JavaScript turned off and reflows without horizontal scrolling at 320 pixels wide.
In Sessions
The Office and the Hour
- In-person sessions are at 65 N Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103.
- Secure video sessions are available anywhere in California, which is often the more accessible option.
- Tell me before your first visit if you have mobility, sensory or access needs and I will confirm what the space can accommodate rather than guessing.
- Lighting, seating and session pacing are adjustable. Say what you need. It is not an imposition.
- Sessions are also workable with a support person present for part of an appointment, arranged in advance.
