Therapy in Altadena, CA
Fifteen unhurried minutes from the office, or no minutes at all if you would rather meet on video.

No Altadena office. The Pasadena one is close.
My single office sits at 65 N Raymond Ave in Pasadena, and Altadena is close enough that in-person work is realistic on a weeknight. If you would rather not add a drive to a day that already has too much in it, video is available for everything I do.
What Comes Up
Grief and the long tail of a hard few years.
Much of Altadena burned in the 2025 wildfires, and people carry that differently. Some arrive naming it directly. Others arrive because sleep stopped working, or because a sound in the night now takes ninety minutes to come down from, and they would rather talk about anything else first. Both are fine. We start where you are willing to start.
Trauma is not only the event. It is what the body decided afterward about how much vigilance is required at all times. That is the part EMDR is actually good at, and we do not go near the hard material until there is enough stability underneath it to be worth doing.
There is no correct timeline for any of this, and I will not give you a number of sessions. Anyone who does is guessing at your interior on a first phone call.
