My one office is in Pasadena and Altadena is a short trip down from most of it. Secure video is available for everything, statewide, at the same fee.
People switch between the two depending on the week, and I do not treat that as a lapse in commitment.
Slow Recovery
Enduring is not the same as processing.
Altadena has a lot of people who have been resilient for years, out of necessity and out of temperament. Resilience is real, and it also has a way of postponing things. What arrives in my office is often the postponed part, showing up as a short fuse, a body that will not settle, or an unexpected flatness in the middle of an ordinary week.
There is no requirement that your history be dramatic enough to earn attention. If it is affecting you now, it qualifies.

How I Work
Depth work, chosen rather than prescribed.
I combine EMDR, internal family systems, psychodynamic understanding and somatic attention, and the mix depends on who is in front of me. Some people need to feel their feet before they can think. Others need to make sense of a pattern before they can feel anything at all.
I will tell you what I am doing and why, and I will not promise you a result. What I can promise is that I will not waste your Tuesday.
Practical Details
Cost and scope.
$225 for 50 minutes. Superbills for out-of-network claims, and no sliding scale is published. Adults and teens, LGBTQ+ affirming. I do not treat severe mental illness or psychotic disorders and will refer out when that is the fit.
