I do not have a room anywhere in Los Angeles, and the honest reason video suits this city is that the alternative is asking someone in Culver City to sit on the 10 twice a week. My physical office is in Pasadena for anyone who wants it. I work with individuals, not couples.

Los Angeles offers a nearly infinite supply of people and a built-in excuse to keep everyone at arm's length. Nobody has to say they are avoiding intimacy when the honest sentence is that Silver Lake to Santa Monica is just far. Distance does a lot of quiet work for an avoidant nervous system, and anxious ones read it as evidence they are not worth the drive.
Layer in a transplant population without nearby family, plus friendships that scatter every time someone moves for a job, and people can be surrounded and still profoundly unwitnessed. Old relational wounds thrive in exactly that condition.

The Work
Where the template came from, and how to loosen it.
Your expectations about closeness were set long before the person who last disappointed you. We locate that, then work with it in the body rather than only in conversation, because understanding your attachment style has never once stopped anybody from replying at midnight.
EMDR often helps with particular moments that still hit hard. Attachment-focused and parts work handles the rest. I will not tell you what to do about any specific relationship.

$225 per 50 minutes, intensives $2,300, out of network with superbills provided, no published sliding scale. We start with a free 10-minute call.
