Format First

No Burbank room. Video, or Pasadena.

I meet Burbank clients by secure video and see people in person at my Pasadena office. That is the full menu, and it is worth knowing up front rather than after you have filled out a form.

The Local Texture

Insecure work does something to a nervous system.

Freelance and contract work is normal here. Editors, grips, writers, assistants, animators, people three jobs into a year. What that produces, over time, is a body permanently braced for the next thing to fall through. Vigilance stops being a response to danger and becomes a personality trait, and then old trauma has somewhere very comfortable to live.

There is also the specific loneliness of workplaces that dissolve. You get intensely close to a crew for four months, then it ends, and grief for something that was never quite a relationship has nowhere to go.

  • Your baseline setting is braced, and you only notice on the rare week nothing is due.
  • You have a professional face so good that friends assume you are doing great.
  • Downtime makes you anxious rather than rested.
  • Old material resurfaced recently and you cannot work out why now.

Method

Capacity before excavation.

We do not start by reopening the worst thing. We start by making sure you have somewhere to put it. Grounding, resourcing, and an honest look at how much bandwidth this season of your life actually has. Then structured trauma work, often EMDR, sometimes parts work, always with a real close at the end of the hour.

I do not promise outcomes and I do not predict a session count. What I will do is tell you honestly if I think we are moving too fast.
